The 34th Macao Arts Festival will present 19 programmes under the theme ‘Wondrous Encounters’, covering theatre, Chinese opera, dance, circus, music and visual arts. The Festival will feature a number of programmes that reinterpret classics with innovative approaches, and will thereby take the audience on a journey of wondrous encounters.

One of the programs at the Macao Arts Festival, Sino-Portuguese Concert, will take place at the MGM Theater. The MGM Theater is the first dynamic theatre in Asia, dedicated to presenting a diverse range of artistic performances, offering audiences an unprecedented sensory experience.

Flying all the way from Lisbon, the popular Capitão Fausto will step on stage to stun melomanes with a flowing line up of pop-rock hits that made them thrive as one of the hottest bands of the last decade in the Portuguese music scene. Bringing a guest Cape Verdean percussionist, the innovative, revivalist band will be sharing the limelight with David Huang, a star singer bringing us the exciting vibes of Chinese pop sounds. Melding western and Asian flavours into his music, Huang’s beautiful voice will take the crowd into a journey of love and hope. Besides playing their own tunes, the musicians will wrap up the concert with a relaxing jam session that promises to cheer the crowd. Let us sing together in an unforgettable musical experience that will leave no one indifferent!
