Organized by MGM and the Swimming Association of Macau, presented by the Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government and the Macao Government Tourism Office, the annual sports event "MGM Artistic Swimming Elite Extravaganza & Macao Open Competition 2025" is making a comeback and returning in style in June 20 to 22, 2025 ! Featuring a lineup of world champions, the spectacular "water ballet" will showcase the vibrant and diverse cultural and sports scene of Macau this summer!
Elite teams from Mainland China, including the 2024 Olympic gold medalists, China’s National Artistic Swimming Team, alongside the Beijing Artistic Swimming Team and the Guangdong Derun Artistic Swimming Team, will deliver a show-stopping performance at the closing ceremony on 22 June. This marks their first performance in Macao since Olympic victory, showcasing their peak skills in a new form. The national-level athletes and championship winners will show an unforgettable world-class high-level performance for the audience.
The three-day Macao Open Artistic Swimming Competition will feature nearly 200 athletes from different regions, including Beijing, Shandong, Sichuan, Chinese Taipei, the United States, Hong Kong and Macao etc. Competition promises a high-energy, thrilling showcase with an action-packed schedule. MGM will also set up a “Special Training Class” for young athletes to have opportunity to receive training from national-level athletes, enhancing their skills through practice. The expanded program demonstrates Macau to its ability to host events through the increased number of competitions in this activity.
This event allows Macao citizens and tourists to experience the wonderful fusion of sports and art, highlighting the strength and grace, demonstrating the artistry of synchronization among the highly coordinated teams.
