Inherited the traditional line drawing techniques, but chooses to use the modern pen as his tool, Lin Guocheng stands out among his peers by combining the sense of touch in Chinese landscape paintings, with etching technique and impromptu sketches from the west. His breathing rhythm resonates with the earth and heaven creating a unique style of "writing atmosphere". Since the London solo exhibition in 2015, Lin starts gaining global attention, and becomes a rising star in Chinese contemporary art.
