"Different mediums, like our identities, can be reflective, fluid, sometimes transparent,” said the artist. Chloe explores her own identity by making artwork. Life is always featured in her work, where certain depths and metaphoric discussions are provoked. Chinese elements of San Shui could be found in this work, where a naked human image is hidden implying the bared soul of the artist. Technically, this work penetrates Chloe’s understanding of Chinese culture, and by the infusion of coffee, her vitality and contemporary use of traditional skills bring this work into a new dimension.
