February 26 - MGM and Asia's Best Female Chef Chudaree “Tam” Debhakam Jointly Present a Two-Day Thai Gastronomic Journey

[February 26, Macau] In an ongoing effort to enhance Macau's reputation as a "Creative City of Gastronomy", MGM launches its "Gastronomic Journey with Star Chefs" series of 2025, featuring worldwide collaborations and cultural exchange with international culinary experts. From March 7 to 8, MGM will welcome Chudaree "Tam" Debhakam (Chef Tam), a Michelin 2-starred chef-owner of the Thai restaurant Baan Tepa Culinary Space from Bangkok, who has been recently crowned as the Asia's Best Female Chef 2025 by Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, to present traditional Thai flavors with modern flair in the unique "Asian Bistronomy" atmosphere of Aji at MGM COTAI.

Chef Tam has blazed a trail in the culinary world as the first female Thai chef to achieve two Michelin stars, while also earning the 2024 MICHELIN Thailand Young Chef Award. Her innovative approach to traditional Thai cuisine focuses on organic, local produce, and sustainable practices, ensuring a dining experience that is both unique and memorable. At her acclaimed restaurant Baan Tepa Culinary Space, which is renowned for its strong sustainability initiatives, ranks among Asia's 50 Best Restaurants for two consecutive years in both 2023 and 2024. Chef Tam’s achievements are not just a testament to her culinary prowess but also a beacon of inspiration for aspiring female chefs worldwide.

During this two-day culinary showcase, Chef Tam will present a five-course dinner tasting menu featuring her signature dishes. Highlights include the Dong Dang Noodles, which is Chef Tam’s 4.0 version, boasting a rich infusion with Firefly Squid (Hotaru) and fresh black squid ink to showcase the Northeastern Thai rice noodle with reimagined flavor. Another standout, the Wagyu Beef Mosaic with Blackened Curry and Jasmine Coconut Rice in Bamboo Leaf, is a traditional Thai dish with a contemporary twist. What’s more, the Tom Jiew further exemplifies the menu’s creativity, blending Baan Tepa Culinary Space’s ingenuity with fresh ingredients from Tepa Garden, this dish offers a refreshing and flavorful culinary experience.
