Macanese Cuisine is a living treasure celebrated worldwide, earning Macau a reputation as a UNESCO Creative Gastronomy City. It was also listed as National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the State Council of China on June 10, 2021. As locals, everyone of us has the responsibility to preserve and promote Macanese Culture. Through this culinary contest, we aim to enhance public awareness and inheritance with regards to this unique Macanese culinary legacy.
This contest is open to all Macau residents with two categories – Open Category and Parent & Child Category. Candidates will have to cook on the spot in Trials and Final Round in order to win the Top 3 Awards and a Special Award in each category.
