Red Sandalwood Art Exhibition of Old Beijing City Gates

China’s 5,000 years of civilization reflect the nation’s extensive and profound achievements. Among these are compelling cultural traditions like red sandalwood carvings, a high art form regarded as one of China’s most important. To commemorate the 15th Anniversary of Macau’s Handover to China and to help promote traditional Chinese culture, MGM MACAU was honored to invite representatives of the China Red Sandalwood Museum to present the Red Sandalwood Art Exhibition of Old Beijing City Gates. With the theme of “Creations Across Time”, the exhibits recreated the bygone charm of Beijing through the medium of sublime red sandalwood craftsmanship.
