Presenting a Six-Hands Culinary Collaboration with the Award-Winning Chefs from Five Foot Road and Imperial Court
[August 15, 2025, Macau] To further elevate Macau’s global reputation as a Creative City of Gastronomy, MGM is pleased to continue its highly acclaimed Gastronomic Journey with Star Chefs series. Following the success of culinary collaborations featuring talented chefs from Quanzhou, Ningbo, and Guangzhou alongside the award-winning MGM culinary teams, MGM is pleased to now host a six-hands gastronomic journey to mark the grand finale of the year-long Maritime Silk Road Culinary Art Feast. Set to take place at Grand Imperial Court from August 29 to 30, this six-hands collaboration brings together three award-winning chefs: Dong Zhenxiang (Da Dong), founder of Chinese Artistic Conception Cuisine and Chef-founder of Da Dong Roast Duck Restaurant Group; Yang Dengquan, Executive Sous Chef of Chinese at MGM COTAI, who helms Five Foot Road; and Homan Tsui, Executive Chef of Chinese at MGM MACAU, who leads Imperial Court. United in culinary excellence, they will present a meticulously curated ‘Homecoming to the Capital’ experience, celebrating the rich cultural legacy of the Maritime Silk Road through three iconic Chinese cuisines— Beijing, Sichuan, and Guangdong.
Renowned for his innovative concept of “Culinary Chromatics”, Da Dong blends Eastern and Western artistic traditions to create visually stunning and gastronomically refined experiences. His visionary approach has earned numerous prestigious awards and global recognition for his restaurant group. Joining him is Chef Yang, a second-generation inheritor of traditional Chengdu Mansion Cuisine, who brings over 40 years of culinary expertise and a deep mastery of Sichuan flavors to the table. Complementing the trio is Chef Tsui, celebrated for his innovative interpretations of Lingnan regional flavors. Together, these culinary masters will take center stage at the Grand Imperial Court, a venue renowned for its opulent interiors adorned with exquisite handmade Suzhou embroidery. The vibrant ambiance provides the perfect backdrop for this artistic culinary showcase, where each dish is thoughtfully crafted to reflect the rich heritage and captivating stories of the Maritime Silk Road.
The eight-course menu for the grand finale features Chef Dong’s signature Braised Abalone with Chinese Yam and Black Truffle Sauce dish featuring the finest ingredients from Europe and Asia, as well as the Dadong Style Grilled Pizza with Sliced Duck which fuses Da Dong’s iconic roast duck with Italian pizza craftsmanship. The three acclaimed chefs will also collaborate to present a Double-Boiled Fresh Sea Whelk and Mushroom in Superior Duck Soup which showcases each one of their distinct culinary strengths – Chef Dong’s profound understanding of Jiangnan flavors, Chef Tsui’s precision of the Guangdong double-boiled soups, and Chef Yang’s unique expertise for mushrooms and herbs. Remarkably, this soup embodies the depth, elegance and reveals the intriguing stories behind Chinese regional cuisine along the Silk Road.
To further elevate the six-hands culinary experience, the sommelier at MGM MACAU has selected two distinguished wines from the Legacy Peak Estate in Ningxia, China, each showcasing distinctive terroirs and elegant regional flavors.
The two-day eight-course menu is priced at MOP 2,900* per person, with wine and tea pairing included. For inquiries and reservations, please call: (853) 8802 2539 or visit www.mgm.mo.
