[May 14, 2025, Macau] – Aji, the MICHELIN one-star restaurant at MGM COTAI, is proud to present a limited-time The Macallan Moments pairing menu with available from May 16 to June 16. This exclusive experience brings together Aji’s signature dishes and the exquisite flavors of carefully selected The Macallan whiskies from Scotland. Embark on a global gastronomic journey where Asian flavors are elevated through the artistry of French cuisine, meticulously curated by Aji’s Chef Pan Sihui. Each dish is thoughtfully paired with The Macallan whiskies, chosen by MGM’s expert sommelier team, offering a sensory experience that spans continents — from the innovative blend of French and Asian cuisine to the rich heritage of Scottish whisky.
The collaboration between Aji and The Macallan is rooted in a shared ambition to transcend the ordinary and seek the extraordinary in every bite and sip, in celebration of the heritage through innovation and balance. Aji’s unique ‘Asian Bistronomy’ concept reimagines classic French techniques with modern interpretations of Asian flavors, creating a dynamic and unforgettable dining experience. The Macallan, established in 1824, is renowned for its rich Scottish heritage and exceptional whisky craftsmanship, continuously innovating while staying true to its roots.
The Macallan Moments pairing menu at Aji features three exquisite dishes, each harmonized with a distinct The Macallan whisky. The Smoked Salmon with Hokkaido Ikura and Mango Turmeric, is paired with The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old, enhancing the salmon’s smoky and spiced flavors. Another highlight, the Ibérico Pork with Myoga Ginger and Calamansi, is accompanied by The Macallan Rare Cask 2023, a bold, full-bodied whisky that complements the pork’s rich and spicy notes. The dessert, The Macallan Tiramisu with Arabica Coffee and 100% Cacao Nibs is paired with The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old, blending the whisky’s dried fruit and nutty flavors with the tiramisu’s creamy and crunchy textures for a perfectly balanced finish.
The limited-time pairing menu co-presented by Aji and The Macallan will be available from May 16 to June 16 at Aji, located in MGM COTAI, with prices starting from MOP 180* per combo, which includes a dish and its respective whisky pairing.
