MGM’s Imperial Court Welcomes Michelin-Starred Zhiguan Courtyard for Exclusive Four-Hands Collaboration

MGM’s acclaimed Gastronomic Journey with Star Chefs series returns this autumn with an extraordinary cross-regional culinary experience. Stephen Chang, Executive Chef of Beijing’s MICHELIN-starred Zhiguan Courtyard, will join forces with Homan Tsui, Executive Chef of MGM, who lead the Black Pearl One-Diamond restaurant Imperial Court, for an exclusive four-hands collaboration, A Degustation of Flavors: Symphony of North and South, on September 17 and 18 at Imperial Court of MGM MACU. Bringing together the artistry of handcrafted Lingnan cuisine and the culinary heritage of Liaoning Fisherman-style cuisine, the experience showcases the rich diversity of Chinese gastronomic traditions while reinforcing Macau’s reputation as the Creative City of Gastronomy.

Renowned for elevating Liaoning Fisherman-style cuisine into a sophisticated dining experience, Chef Chang has led Zhiguan Courtyard to retain its One MICHELIN Star in Beijing for six consecutive years since 2021, cementing its status as the world's first MICHELIN-starred Northeastern Chinese regional cuisine restaurant. Chef Tsui, meanwhile, is acclaimed for his contemporary interpretation of handcrafted Lingnan cuisine. He spearheads the culinary vision of Imperial Court, which has earned a Black Pearl One Diamond distinction for four consecutive years, as well as the coveted Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide.

Following their well-received collaboration in Beijing last December, the two chefs will reunite at Macau to present a curated menu showcasing the finest seafood from the Liaohe River, Bohai Bay and Pearl River Delta, alongside delicacies from the Changbai Mountains. Drawing on decades of culinary expertise, they bring together the bold flavors of the North and the refined elegance of the South in a memorable gastronomic journey. The menu features the Crispy Boneless Duck Wrapped in Taro Purée, a creation that marries the Northern and Southern regional flavors and techniques. Guests can also look forward to Chef Changs Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork Loin and Yellow Croaker, a seafood-inspired reinterpretation of the Northeastern classic Guo Bao Rou, and Chef Homan’s Braised Crab Claw with Shrimp Paste and Black Tofu, showcasing homemade shrimp paste crafted from fresh shrimp paired with Chef Chang’s signature tofu. To conclude the experience, the dessert platter unites the sweet traditions of North and South, bringing the feast to a memorable finale.

The exclusive four-hands dinner will be presented on September 17 and 18 at MGM MACAU’s Imperial Court. Priced at MOP 2,180* per person, the nine-course menu includes optional tea or wine pairing to further enhance the culinary journey.
