Five Foot Road has been named among the Tatler Best 20 Restaurants in Macau, celebrated for its refined interpretation of Sichuan Chengdu cuisine that highlights authentic flavors and culinary artistry. Bar Patuá, with its creative east-meets-west cocktails inspired by Macau’s multicultural heritage, has been listed in the Tatler Best 20 Bars in Macau. Meanwhile, Imperial Court has been honored as the Tatler Best Macau 2025 Recommended Restaurant, applauded for its masterful presentation of Lingnan culinary traditions with a modern twist.

Having celebrated 40 years of honoring excellence in food and drink, the Tatler Dining Guide has evolved into Tatler Best Hong Kong and Macau, focusing on celebrating the top restaurants, bars, and hotels that shape the future of hospitality.

Five Foot Road: A Celebration of Sichuan’s Culinary Heritage

Five Foot Road is a fine dining concept that redefines the Sichuanese culinary experience, offering an authentic interpretation of the 24 taste profiles of Sichuan cuisine. Drawing inspiration from official banquets of ancient China, the restaurant combines premium ingredients with meticulous culinary techniques to deliver an elevated dining experience.

Executive Sous Chef Yang Dengquan, with nearly 40 years of culinary expertise, masterfully showcases the subtlety and depth of classic Sichuanese cuisine, bridging the flavors of two UNESCO-designated Cities of Gastronomy—Chengdu and Macau. Signature dishes include the Stewed Bird’s Nest with Minced Chicken and Egg White in Bouillon, the indulgent Sautéed Glutinous Rice with Pork Belly, Red Bean Paste, Crushed Peanuts, Sesame and Cashew Nuts, and the highly revered Qing Imperial Palace dish, Poached Chinese Cabbage in Bouillon. Each dish reflects the cultural richness and culinary artistry of Sichuan.

Bar Patuá: Where East Meets West in a Glass

Bar Patuá stands as a testament to Macau’s unique Chinese and Portuguese heritage. Named after “Patuá,” the nearly extinct Macanese Creole language that blends Cantonese, Portuguese, Malay, and Sinhalese, the bar celebrates the city’s rich multicultural legacy within a setting that emphasizes privacy and comfort.

The cocktail menu is a homage to Macau’s storied past, skillfully combining premium Chinese and Asian ingredients. Its signature cocktail, Patuá, captures the essence of Macau’s cultural identity. This masterfully crafted drink features Macau’s locally produced Baijiu, Chinese gin, 10-year-old Tawny Port, and homemade tonic water, enhanced with a fragrant medley of Sri Lankan cinnamon, Indian cardamom, and Malaccan cloves. Each sip tells the tale of Portuguese adventurers and their historic trade routes, delivering an evocative taste of history in every glass.

Imperial Court: A Celebration of Lingnan Culinary Artistry

Located in the VIP Lobby of MGM MACAU, Imperial Court brings the essence of traditional Lingnan cuisine to life, reimagined with a contemporary flair. The main dining area captivates guests with its striking centerpiece—a meticulously crafted dragon-adorned column—harmoniously paired with exquisite Liuli tableware, creating an elegant and immersive dining experience.

Executive Chef Homan Tsui honors the rich culinary heritage of Lingnan by embracing the principles of seasonality and preserving the authentic flavors of premium ingredients. A standout creation, the Crispy Fried Chicken Skin with Shrimp Mousse and Salted Fish Flakes, showcases Chef Homan’s innovative approach to classic recipes, offering diners a taste of Macau’s storied history through a masterfully crafted dish.

Five Foot Road, Bar Patuá, and Imperial Court invite guests to embark on a gastronomic journey that celebrates the art of mixology and culinary craftsmanship. For reservations and inquiries, please contact (853) 8802 3888.
