The grand finale of the “Silk Road Art Feasts” series shines a spotlight on Beijing, celebrating the culinary heritage and cultural memories of two major cities along the Silk Roads—Chaozhou and Beijing.
Li Qiang, Chaozhou Cuisine Consultant of MGM MACAU, joins hands with Ivan Li Xiao Lin, the second-generation successor of Family Li Cuisine and a custodian Beijing’s culinary heritage, to curate an imperial feast that pays tribute to the refined regional fare, interweaving the delicate, fresh ocean flavors of coastal Chaozhou with the majestic elegance of imperial Beijing.
Chef Li Qiang, a contemporary Chaozhou cuisine master and protégé of legendary master of modern Chaozhou cuisine Lin Ziran, is honored as the “Forbes China Top 30 Chefs” and “Global Ambassador of Chaozhou Cuisine” and is renowned for his refined craftsmanship and mastery of seafood and nourishing delicacies. Chef Ivan Li, a master of Chinese imperial cuisine, preserves the time-honored craft inherited from the Qing Dynasty’s royal kitchen. Family Li Cuisine has been graced with three consecutive years of Michelin two stars, and Li received the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Lifetime Achievement Award.
The two master chefs from North and South will reimagine classic dishes with innovative flair, blending premium wellness ingredients with signature culinary artistry from both regions. Guests will be indulged in a dazzling imperial banquet intertwining the grandeur of Beijing’s imperial court with the delicate finesse of Chaozhou.
