MGM, the Cultural Affairs Bureau and Macao Orchestra Company, Limited, in collaboration to present the Disney’s Frozen In Concert – Film With Live Orchestra this Children’s Day. On May 31 at 8 p.m. & June 1 at 3 p.m., the MGM Theater in MGM COTAI will transform into an “ice palace” as the Macao Orchestra will perform live the enchanting soundtrack of Disney’s animated hit Frozen, accompanied by vocalists and a choir delivering the beloved songs, synchronized with a screening of the full film on a colossal 4K LED surround screen. Tickets will be available to the public from 12 p.m. on 29 April at Macau Ticketing website.
Since its release in 2013, Disney’s Frozen has taken the world by storm, captivated audiences not only with its gripping storyline but also with its phenomenal theme song, Let It Go. The song swept major awards, including the Academy Award and the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, while the movie's soundtrack went on to win two Grammy Awards. It has since become one of Disney's most iconic musical achievements. The Macao Orchestra, led by Assistant Conductor Tony Yeh Cheng-Te, will bring the magic of film scores to live. In addition to the familiar vocal ensemble beloved by audiences, this performance will feature a special guest appearance by Alyssa Fox, who starred as Elsa in the Broadway Musical tour of Frozen. She will perform alongside Ray Liu, the official Mandarin voice of Anna in Frozen, creating a dream collaboration. Last year’s stars, CJ Chan (Aladdin) and RJ Woessner (Genie), will also make a surprise return. These world-class Disney voices will deliver a heartfelt performance, weaving together symphonic music and cinematic magic to enchant you with an unforgettable Frozen experience this Children’s Day!
