Organized by MGM, the 2025 National Arts Fund-supported project "Talent Training on the Cultural and Creative Design of the Maritime Silk Road" aims to promote research and innovative transformation of the cultural history associated with the Maritime Silk Road to cultivate talents, as well as to position Macao as a hub for cultural exchange.

30 participants nationwide will learn under a top-tier faculty of over 30 experts through an integrated model of “Theory + Field Study + Design Practice,” with courses and site visits in Beijing, Quanzhou, Guangzhou, and Macao. The Poly MGM Museum will serve as the core training base.

Covering topics from Silk Road aesthetics to cultural heritage and innovation, the program nurtures globally minded, multidisciplinary talent. A final showcase will open in February 2026, blending Maritime Silk Road culture with contemporary design to bring heritage to life and spark a new era of cultural creativity. Stay tuned!
