Paradīsus – 1557

"I want to express my ideas through my works to attract more awareness about the changes in Macau." The artist used to adopt ancient map style, which reflects the colonial history of Macau. In this series, the artist pre-treats the drawing paper with tea and acrylic to create an antique effect, which makes the painting look like 16th and 17th century map. It blends the local, the rooted, and every day are juxtaposed with the dreamy and fantastical in works inspired by the past, yet inspired by the minds of the artist.
