The artist used to imitate ancient map style, which echoes the colonial history of Macau, as he said, "I want to express my ideas through my works to attract more awareness about the changes in Macau." In this work, a carrack is depicted as floating in the mysterious ocean, sailing in the exploration of the new land in the exotic space of illusion and reality. Together with the pre-treated drawing paper with tea and acrylic, a sense of 16th and 17th century antique map is created. The miniature sizing adopted in this painting also shows the artists demanding craftsmanship.
