Debuting a Modern Expression of Timeless Singaporean Flavors
[February 10, 2026, Macau] MGM proudly introduces the renowned Singapore dining brand Chatterbox Café to Macau, celebrating the grand opening of its first Macau outpost today (Feb 10). With a legacy spanning over five decades, Chatterbox is rooted in classic Singaporean cuisine and has grown into a highly recognized culinary brand across Asia, distinguished by blending authentic flavors and contemporary culinary skills. By bringing this emblematic international brand to Macau, MGM not only expands the city’s dining diversity for both locals and visitors, but also further elevates Macau’s global culinary landscapes, strengthening the city’s reputation as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Kenneth Feng, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited; Brian Riady, Chief Executive Officer of OUE Restaurants; Iwan Dietschi, Senior Vice President of Hospitality of MGM; and Liew Tian Heong, Chatterbox’s Group Executive Chef.
Kenneth Feng said, “Gastronomy is a universal language that speaks across borders and cultures. It is far more than flavor alone — it carries memories, emotions and ways of life. Singapore and Macau are both vibrant crossroads of cultural exchange, shaped by the convergence of different histories and lived experiences. It is therefore a pleasure for us to bring the culture and warmth of the Lion City to Macau through Chatterbox, allowing the two cities to form a deeper connection through the stories and flavors they share.”
The Chatterbox at MGM MACAU draws its interior inspiration from the brand’s Singapore flagship while thoughtfully incorporating architectural elements unique to Macau. Its arched doorways, refined wood detailing, and mosaic accents create a contemporary atmosphere where Southeast Asian warmth meets the charm of Southern European design.
To enrich the cultural narrative of the space, the restaurant features four bespoke paintings by Singaporean artist Tan Zi Xi, each celebrating a signature dish, including Singapore Mandarin Chicken Rice, Lobster Laksa, Singapore Chicken Curry, and Signature Coconut Ice Cream. The compositions also weave in symbolic elements from Macau’s serene wetlands, such as the lotus flower and the black‑faced spoonbill, creating a unique visual fusion where Singaporean flavors and Macau’s characteristics intertwine.
