Asia’s Leading Mixologists Unite at MGM COTAI for Two Nights Only

Inspired by the cultural narratives of East and West, Bar Patuá at MGM COTAI is a refined sanctuary where travelers, stories and cultures converge. Through thoughtfully crafted cocktails, it sets the stage for memorable moments and connections. Bar Patuá welcomes back its Traveler’s Whisper guest mixologist series on July 27 and 29, featuring acclaimed bartenders from Taiwan, China, and Seoul in South Korea, whose bars have been recognized by the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list. The series invites guests to discover the flavors, creativity, and cultural narratives rooted in their local cultures and traditions to Macau through their innovative cocktails.

July 27: Formosa Medley

On July 27, The Traveler’s Whisper at Bar Patuá: Letter #6 will take place under the theme of “Formosa Medley”. For one night only, representatives and head bartenders from four acclaimed bars across Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung, and Tainan will join forces at Bar Patuá for a masterful showcase of Taiwanese cocktails. The lineup includes Summer Chen, co-founder of Vender, ranked No. 20 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025, renowned for reimagining classic cocktails through the distinctive use of Southeast Asian spices; Mars Chang, founder of To Infinity and Beyond, ranked No. 41, seamlessly blends sci-fi aesthetics with scientific mixology to create innovative, multi-sensory cocktails. Nono Yu, co-founder of The Han-Jia Pairing Dinner, ranked No. 59, transforms rare local Tainan ingredients into cocktails that evoke the rich terroir and charm of the area, and Juliette Lai, manager of MALTAIL, ranked No. 75, who puts single malt whisky at the heart of her creations, showcasing its versatility through innovative and contemporary flavor combinations. This lineup brings their signature flavor philosophies to Macau with a vibrant tour of the island’s rich regional characteristics.

July 29: Guest Shift by Bar Cham

On July 29, Bar Patuá will welcome founder and head mixologists Byungjin Lim and Yeonghwi Yun (Hwi) from Seoul’s Bar Cham (참Cham), ranked No. 6 in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 for its sixth consecutive year and No. 53 on The World’s 50 Best Bars. They will present an exclusive three-cocktail menu crafted with traditional Korean spirits and whisky, alongside regional ingredients and cultural inspirations. This one-night-only guest shift offers a refined liquid tour of Korea's unique terroir and heritage, while showcasing the distinctive creativity and craftsmanship that define Seoul’s contemporary cocktail scene.
