“I use burned pieces of paper and ashes from burning to construct my work. From destroying to rebirth, life runs a circle,” said the artist. As a commission work by MGM Cotai, the artist visited Macau and documented the journey with his creation. The set consists of eight main visuals, which depicts iconic sceneries of Macau, namely Ruins of St. Paul’s and A-Ma Temple, etc. The artist burnt the printed materials collected in Macau and applied ashes to the canvas. Through the collage of calligraphy and vintage images, it tells an impressive story of the city.
