MGM achieved remarkable success in the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide 2026, with three of its signature homegrown brands being recognized on the prestigious list. Aji, showcasing contemporary Asian cuisine, makes its debut on the list as a Black Pearl One‑Diamond Restaurant. Imperial Court and Five Foot Road are once again honored with a One‑Diamond distinction for the fourth and third consecutive years respectively, celebrating their refined interpretations of Lingnan cuisine and traditional Sichuan gastronomy. These accolades reaffirm MGM’s leadership in the premium dining sector and further strengthen Macau’s position as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
Kenneth Feng, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China
Holdings Limited, said, “MGM’s achievements in this year’s Black Pearl
Restaurant Guide reflect the Golden Lion Team’s long‑standing commitment to culinary excellent and
innovation. Aji’s first One‑Diamond recognition underscores our forward‑looking
approach to Asian contemporary field, while the continued recognition of Imperial
Court and Five Foot Road highlights the maturity and consistency of MGM’s
premium dining philosophy. MGM will continue to refine
guest experiences, enabling them to
discover Macau’s distinctive gastronomic appeal through MGM.”
Launched in 2018, the Black Pearl
Restaurant Guide has grown into one of the most influential and
authoritative evaluations in the Chinese dining scene. With its longstanding
mission to honor outstanding restaurants across China and abroad, the Guide
classifies listed establishments into three diamond tiers. This year, the Guide
spans nearly 40 cities globally and features over 400 restaurants, reflecting
its significant role in promoting culinary culture internationally.
Aji is led by MGM COTAI’s
Executive Sous Chef Pan Sihui, whose creations seamlessly blend Asian
flavors with enhanced French techniques, embodying the restaurant’s distinctive
“Asian Bistronomy” concept; at the helm of Imperial Court,
MGM’s Executive Chef of Chinese Cuisine Homan Tsui draws on over 20 years of culinary
experience. He reimagines Lingnan cuisine with modern finesse, embracing
Cantonese, Hakka, and Chaozhou traditions, as well as regional flavors from
Guangxi, Hainan, and beyond; Five Foot Road showcases Chengdu- Sichuan cuisine under the
leadership of Executive Sous Chef Yang Dengquan. With over four decades of
mastery, he elevates tradition through precise craftsmanship, revealing the Sichuan
cuisine beyond its fiery reputation.
Guests are
