Two of MGM’s signature Chinese dining restaurants, Imperial Court and Five Foot Road, have once again been named among La Liste’s Top 1,000 World’s Best Restaurants 2027, marking their second consecutive year on the prestigious global list. The recognition reflects both restaurants’ continued pursuit of exceptional culinary standards and MGM’s longstanding commitment to preserving and promoting Chinese culinary culture. Rooted respectively in Lingnan and Chengdu-style Sichuan cuisine, the two restaurants showcase the distinctive flavors and culinary traditions of different regions of China, further enriching Macau’s dining landscape and reinforcing its positioning as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy.
Founded in Paris, France, in 2015, La Liste is widely regarded as one of the most respected benchmarks in international gastronomy. It draws on dining guides, professional restaurant reviews and online ratings from around the world, as well as input from chefs and diners, to compile its annual ranking of the world’s Top 1,000 Restaurants and provides a global reference for diners.
Five Foot Road specializes in classic Chengdu-style Sichuan cuisine and has earned One MICHELIN Star in the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong & Macau, One-Diamond recognition from the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide and a Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide for multiple years. Inspired by the 1940s Chengdu mansion banquets, the restaurant brings to life the Sichuan culinary philosophy of “one dish, one style; a hundred dishes, a hundred flavors”. Executive Sous Chef Yang Dengquan, with four decades of culinary experience, is known for his exceptional knife skills, precise seasoning, and mastery of heat. Together, Chef Yang and Sous Chef Zhuo Xiaodong, lead the culinary team in presenting a more nuanced expression of Sichuan cuisine—one that goes beyond its familiar association with bold, spicy flavors to reveal the depth and character of one of China’s most celebrated regional cuisines.
Imperial Court has earned One-Diamond rating from the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide and a Five-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide for multiple years. One of Macau’s most celebrated fine-dining destinations, the restaurant specializes in refined, handcrafted Lingnan cuisine and is highly regarded by discerning diners. Grounded in Chinese culinary tradition while continuing to innovate, Imperial Court is led by Homan Tsui, MGM’s Executive Chef of Chinese Cuisine, and Ki Chan, Chef de Cuisine. Following the philosophy of seasonal dining, the culinary team selects ingredients at their peak and applies meticulous culinary techniques to highlight their natural flavors, creating distinctive dishes and memorable dining experiences.
Guests are invited to discover the signature dishes at Imperial Court and Five Foot Road. For reservations and inquiries, please call (853) 8802 3888 or visit the official MGM website at www.mgm.mo.
