Refined Gastronomic Experience Blending Italian Wine Culture with MGM’s Signature Culinary Artistry

MGM hosted Vino Condiviso 2026 Macau, Viva Italia at Vista last Friday (May 29th), MGM COTAI, with the support of Vino Condiviso, the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong, and the Italian Trade Agency. Bringing together Italian wine producers, institutional partners, wine professionals and aficionados, the event presented a refined celebration of this Old World wine culture. The event underscores MGM’s commitment in helping to broaden Macau’s tourism appeal and strengthen its positioning as a World Center of Tourism and Leisure and a destination for world-class gastronomic experiences.

As one of the signature highlights of MGM’s curated May wine experiences, “Vino Condiviso”, meaning “shared wine” in Italian, celebrates the spirit of discovering and enjoying wine together. The one-night-only event welcomed over 250 guests to say “Salute” to over 100 Italian wine labels, presented by Italian producers and wine specialists on site to share their expertise and the stories behind the wines, inviting guests to discover the depth, diversity and artistry of Italian winemaking.

Throughout the event, guests explored Italy’s rich winemaking legacy, from historic traditions to contemporary innovation, through distinctive terroirs and indigenous grape varieties from northern to southern Italy, including renowned wine regions such as Piemonte, Veneto, Tuscany and Sicily. The selection also highlighted indigenous single-varietal wines, offering a refined perspective on how Italy’s traditional wine culture continues to evolve through modern interpretations. On-site giveaways further enlivened the evening, offering guests the opportunity to win selected Italian wines and MGM F&B dining vouchers for MGM’s award-winning restaurants.

Elevating the tasting experience, MGM presented a curated gastronomic showcase featuring canapés from Five Foot Road, MGM’s One-Michelin-starred Sichuan cuisine restaurant, Grill 58, its premium restaurant that epitomizes woodfire grill and fire-kiss elements, together with staple Italian hearty dishes. The culinary pairings demonstrated MGM’s ability to connect global wine culture with distinctive dining concepts, creating a cross-cultural experience that reflected the Company’s culinary diversity, premium hospitality and commitment to crafting memorable lifestyle experiences for its guests.

Vino Condiviso 2026 Macau, Viva Italia is part of MGM’s May wine campaign, An Epicurean Journey through Fine Vintages, which also featured two activations at Grill 58, MGM COTAI: “Vintage Affair” on May 6 and “Italian Magnum Voyage” from May 11 to June 7. The campaign further reflects MGM’s commitment to creating premium wine and dining experiences that enrich Macau’s gastronomic tourism appeal.
