March 18 - Aux Beaux Arts at MGM MACAU Returns

[Thursday, March 18] To the Beautiful Art – Aux Beaux Arts, the French brasserie which was the rendez-vous of locals, situated at the Grande Praça of MGM MACAU, has returned and is serving the city the most exquisite and delightful French cuisine once again under a charmingly atmospheric setting.

Reminiscent of the elegant atmosphere and casual sophistication of an old-world French brasserie, inside the vintage indoor dining room guests may savor French classics from the North of the country to the South, a gastronomic experience that comprises of fresh products, high quality ingredients, the finest techniques, and all from France’s rich culinary heritage.

Aux Beaux Arts has brought back the traditions and heritage of French cooking, complimented by innovative, contemporary creations directly to Macau through its menu. Begin a sumptuous meal with Aux Beaux Arts’ rendition of the staple Southern French dish “Salade Niçoise” with confit fatty tuna belly and crisp greens, which brings out the flavors of the Mediterranean. The signature “Seafood Platter” features lobsters, oysters, king crabs, shrimps and other fresh seafood, delivers the freshness from the sea straight to the table, and pairs nicely with a glass of champagne or white wine.

“Vol-au-Vent”, a traditional French delicacy once served only to the royalty and now a classic of cuisine bourgeoise, is served at Aux Beaux Arts with a luscious elevation. Inside the rounded fluffy case of puff pastry are foie gras, fresh lobster meat and seasonal greens, all soaked in a rich lobster sauce to bring out the most heavenly flavors from both the land and the sea. The time-honored classic Parisian “Steak Frites” with Bearnaise Sauce, another staple found at all brasseries in France, is recreated here by combining perfectly grilled skirt steak, chosen for its lean cut with bursting flavors suitable for a French butchery standard, with homemade bearnaise and French fries.

Towards the end of the meal, the restaurant is infused with a sweet, buttery aroma from the showstopper “Crêpes Suzette”, a retro signature of Aux Beaux Arts that is flambé tableside. Nothing concludes an extravagant meal than these classic crêpes coated in a warm, velvety caramel sauce and finished with a shower of citrus zesting.

To perfect the dining experience, look no further than the restaurant’s phenomenal, award-winning wine list with rare old and new world wines that caters to deliver the most sophisticated gourmand’s tastes. For those opting for a flute of bubbles, spirits or cocktails, the ABA Bar, with its chic interiors adorned with high-backed chairs, satin sofas and black-and-white checkered floors, provides a perfect backdrop for pre-dinner drinks or romantic nightcap.
