Whether you are a loyal fan of traditional festivities or someone who seeks for unique and innovative holiday to-dos, the exhilarating array of entertainments and offerings at both MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI, including Christmas symphony concerts, festive performances, crafting workshops and gastronomy delights, will certainly fulfill all holiday wish-lists and make this very Christmas a memorable one for all.
Grand Christmas Symphony by Macau Orchestra^
Ring in this holiday season with the joyous rhythms of Christmas symphony at the Spectacle at MGM COTAI! MGM is partnering with Macau Orchestra once again to present a live festive symphony concert, taking place at 7pm on both December 18 and 19. Beyond the delightful orchestra performance, the crowd’s favorite “Sea Odyssey” will also take part in this concert with a festive makeover, where the beloved flying dolphins will be gliding in the air with the reverberating rhythm of Saint-Saens’ “Aquarium” from “Carnival of Animals” to kick-start this unique concert experience. This is followed by a set of festive classics including Coleridge-Taylor’s “Christmas Overture”, Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” (excerpts) and Christmas carols, in which audiences will be able to immerse in the true festivity under the legendary world-record holder roof of the Spectacle.
Live Performances Bringing Jubilation for All^
As one of the most atmospheric destination in town, the Spectacle will be the very venue for a wide range of unparalleled festive entertainment experiences throughout this holiday season. Topping the sumptuous lineup of performances is the “Children’s Ballet: ‘The Gift in the Spectacle’”, an adorable Christmas themed interactive ballet performance adopted from “Nutcracker”, taking place on December 20, 24 to 26. Led by a team of talented little ballet dancers dressed as the classic characters of “Nutcracker”, the audiences and all other guests in the Spectacle will be invited to be part of this fun and immersive performance. On top of that, MGM will also shower the air with different genres of festive music: the school choir of Escola Choi Nong Chi Tai will present the “Carols in the Air”, a classic Christmas carol concert taking place on December 22; and ARI & The Party Animals, a local band is bringing a live Christmas groove to the Spectacle with festive pop and acoustic music, every night from December 20 to 27.
On the other side of the city, MGM MACAU will set up “The Story Vendor at Mini Lisbon” at Grande Praça, a Sino-Portuguese themed storytelling puppet show that delivers a unique cultural and festive experiences for little guests on December 24 and 25. And what’s even better? Admissions are free for all of the above performances and shows, so come and soak in the spirit of Christmas with your family and friends!
Savor the Holiday Season with Impeccable Feasts
This jolly season is the best time to eat, drink and be merry! Tailor-made for the spirit of festive feasting, restaurants of MGM offer an array of holiday special menus and buffets. Best known for exceptional steaks and premium teppanyaki, Grill 58 is serving a special Teppanyaki omakase menu on both Christmas and New Year priced at MOP2,388*, featuring the finest seasonal ingredients with a highlight on white truffle and premium caviar. The restaurant also offers festive prix-fixe dinner menus on both Christmas Eve as well as a festive brunch on Christmas Day.
Festive feasting is never complete without sumptuous Christmas buffets! Christmas lunch and dinner buffets at Coast and Rossio offer a great variety of delicacies from around the globe, from the fresh-out-the-oven festive roasts, traditional Christmas desserts to fresh seafood, which is perfect for any gathering. Buffet lunch and dinner are priced at MOP488* and MOP528* per person respectively.
On the other hand, the crowd’s favorite dessert free flow “Sugar Crush” will get a festive makeover and serve all-you-can-eat festive desserts and pastries for MOP268* per person, at 3 to 6pm daily from December 18 to 27, as well as selected weekends and public holidays at Anytime, which has been spruced up with gingerbread house themed decorations. Meanwhile, Anytime and Rossio are also serving festive afternoon tea sets during the festive period respectively. Christmas pastries in various styles and sizes are also available at Anytime and Pastry Bar to pamper all the sweet-tooth cravings, available from December 12 to January 3.
What’s more, Christmas hampers and take-away menus are specially prepared to share the Christmas spirit. Leave the festive cooking duty to us with our staples “Herb roasted turkey” and “Whiskey and orange-honey glazed baked ham” to fill the dining table with full festivity instantly.
