ART IS PLAY

ART IS PLAY invites guests of all ages to embark on a journey of awakening, self-discovery and social interaction through play. It features colorful art installations by five international artists, including Macau artist Cindy Ng, Japanese artist Ayumi Adachi, installation artist tomtom, London-based French artist Camille Walala and Singaporean artist Janice Wong.

Mindscape by Cindy Ng

Inspired by her memories of childhood in Macau, local artist Cindy Ng highlights the unique essence of ink in Mindscape. As you brush through layers of curtains, lose yourself in the light and shadows of this abstract dreamscape.

Setsuna = 0.013 second by Ayumi Adachi

It only takes one Setsuna that equals to 0.013 seconds, for Ayumi Adachi’s work to awaken consciousness. The calming sounds and shadows of this beautiful bubble installation lead you into a meditative state.

Orangelicious by tomtom

Enter the yellow and orange wonderland of tomtom’s imagination, where vibrant balloons in every size have been carefully selected to inspire joy and happiness. This large-scale installation organically flows, enveloping you in sunshine with every step.

Walala x Play by Camille Walala

This “temple to wonder” from well-known London-based French artist Camille Walala invites you to lose yourself in a maze of colors and patterns, zigzags and hallways, mirrors and challenges as you solve the puzzle and unleash your inner child.

Sugar Glow Garden by Janice Wong

Edible art of MGM COTAI’s celebrity chef Janice Wong redefines sweets and invites you into a world of imagination. Each of the 20,000 sugar flowers has been hand painted with glowing UV paint to inspire you to see, taste, and feel differently.

From now till September 9, local residents and tourists will have the opportunity to discover the playful side of art by immersing in the installations of five international artists at MGM Art Space. Check out the Art, Check in to Play.
