[Monday, February 12] To celebrate Chinese New Year, MGM MACAU is ushering in the auspicious Year of the Dog with stunning decorations at Grande Praça, spectacular Lion Dance performances, exquisite dining experience and radiant spa treatments for all guests. Lucky Rendezvous at Grande Praça

Grande Praça has put on an extravagant Garden of Treasure, with hanging sparkling gems and jewels. Bring your family over for a lucky rendezvous! In addition, the 8-meter tall MGM Aquarium located at the heart of Grande Praça, which houses over a thousand colorful fishes with more than 120 varieties, is going to present daily fish-feeding shows with expert diver at 11am and 3pm. As “fish” and “water” represent prosperity in Chinese culture, guests can take the opportunity and wish your beloved one the best luck during the New Year!

MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI will showcase the Lion Dance Blessing Ceremony at 2pm on both February 18 and 19. Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, will lead a team of executives to erect the giant pinwheels and to carry out the traditional eye-dotting ritual on the iconic Golden Lions, to bring the warmest blessings and good fortune to all in the Year of the Dog!

Imperial Court Exquisite Banquet

Imperial Court is commemorating the Year of the Dog with two specially crafted banquet menus and an exclusive Chinese New Year a-la-carte menu available from February 16 to 25, with auspicious symbolism for this season. The banquet menus incorporate ingredients that are auspicious, including the Wok fried scallops, long clams and gan lan shoot with honey marinated Yunnan ham, Crispy fried mashed taro cake stuffed with crabmeat and scallop topped with caviar and Barbecued suckling pig with glutinous rice. The price for the auspicious menus are priced at MOP 11,880* for 12 guests and MOP 880* per person respectively. More importantly, “fish” represents prosperity in Chinese culture, hence, the Oven baked Patagonian 51 toothfish fillet with egg white and conpoy, as well as the Steamed fish meat and shrimp dumplings are some of the iconic Chines New Year a-la-carte dishes that cannot be missed.

Rossio Seasonal Buffet

Rossio is known for offering a wide selection of Asian and international cuisines, fresh seafood and sweet treats. Between February 16 and 18, the buffet line will serve a wide range of tempting seasonal favorites, including Abalone double boiled soup, Lobster bisque with cognac, Scallop salad with green curry dressing, Roasted Omaha prime rib with mustard and Roasted lamb leg with harissa, etc. This year, Rossio will serve the traditional Lo Hei Salad, which symbolizes fortune and wealth for the new year, with the unlimited supply of Boston lobsters, French oysters, abalones and sashimi, bringing guests a tempting gastronomic journey. The Chinese New Year buffet is priced between MOP 298* and MOP 498* per person.

New Year Golden Glamor at Tria Spa

Tria Spa offers a special Chinese New Year spa package to glam up for the Year of the Dog! The gold massage oil being used in the Golden Bliss Massage signifies wealth and fortune, while bringing deep relaxation and re-energizes the body and mind. Combining with the Pink Himalayan Salt Foot Bath and Oxygen Firming Facial, the package offers immediate glow for the new year celebration. The three-hour treatment is available throughout February and is priced at MOP 2488** per person.
