In order to support the development of Macao into a World Center of Tourism and Leisure, assisting the Macao SAR Government in promoting barrier-free tourism to provide all visitors with a friendly and inclusive travel experience, MGM China has collaborated with the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the Macao Association of the Deaf, the Guangdong Provincial Association of the Deaf, and received support from the Guangdong Sign Language Association, to jointly develop the next generation of “Power in our hands – The Greater Bay Area Sign Language eLearning Program” with the aim of prompting the development of an accessible and inclusive community in Macao.

The new eLearning “Power in our hands – The Greater Bay Area Sign Language eLearning Program” is open to the public free of charge and has benefited more than 300,000 learners to date. It has been recognized by Training magazine of Xinhua Newspaper Media Group as an “Exemplary Training Program”, demonstrating outstanding effectiveness and earning widespread acclaim. Through online learning, the course provides foundational knowledge of National Common Sign Language and Macao Sign Language, raises awareness among the public and tourism practitioners in the Greater Bay Area about “barrier-free tourism” and “sign language culture”.
