October 16 - CHEF MAURO COLAGRECO CELEBRATES HIS TRIUMPH OF WORLD’S NO. 1 AT MGM COTAI

[Wednesday, October 16] MGM is celebrating Chef Mauro Colagreco’s extraordinary achievement of scoring No. 1 at the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2019 at Grill 58 of MGM COTAI, three days only from October 18 to 20. The world’s best chef, also the celebrity consultant chef of Grill 58, will prepare an exclusive celebration menu in person for all gourmands to savor, here in Macau. All are welcomed to join him in jubilation without worrying about all the hassle of travelling or long reservation waiting list.

2019 has been an enormous year for Chef Colagreco. His acclaimed restaurant, Mirazur, in Menton of Southern France, has been crowned the World’s Best Restaurant by the World’s 50 Best Restaurants this June, shortly after achieving the 3-star Michelin accolade from the latest MICHELIN Guide France 2019.


The three-day exclusive celebration dining event features a menu with brand new dishes especially created by Chef Colagreco to excite all diners with unexpected flavor combinations. Starting with Hokkaido bay scallops, goma-sio, rice cream, seaweed, some refreshing taste from the sea, the chef layers large and fresh seared scallop with slightly nutty and mild fragrant to uplift the umami.

Char-grilled Carabineros, chicken supreme, ‘Beurre blanc’, combawa, trout eggs, an unlikely combination to be seen on one single plate, pairs surprisingly well under Chef Colagreco’s thoughtful creativity. The magic takes on with Beurre Blanc, the classic French butter sauce of vinegar and butter, which melds the goodness of the sea and land. Topping with rinds of combawa and trout eggs, the dish is made to be a true explosion of flavors.

Aveyron lamb rack, eggplants, black garlic, anchovies, lemon fully delivers Chef Colagreco’s refined pursuit in culinary. The finest, soft and tender Aveyron lamb, grilled to perfection, layers with flavors of smokiness, savory and citrus to acquire a remarkable, well complemented and balanced dish to impress all.

The dining event will take place only on October 18 and 19 for dinner, and October 20 for lunch with very limited seats at Grill 58, MGM COTAI. The 6-course dinner set is priced at MOP 1,888*, while the 4-course lunch set at MOP 888*. For reservation and enquiry, please contact (853) 8806 2318.
