Fanke Port is inspired by the historical traces of fanke—foreign merchants shaped by diverse cultures along the Maritime Silk Road. The project comprises six series; this exhibition presents two design series and their ready‑to‑wear works. Golden Qilin explores Ming‑dynasty tribute trade linked to Africa, while Red‑Haired Fan recounts pirate narratives of traders from the Kingdom of Holland.
