The Four Guardian Kings-The Golden-haired Lion King (Xie Xun)

Presented by MGM in collaboration with Chinese contemporary artist Ren Zhe, Golden Lion King is a tribute to Jin Yong’s martial arts legacy under the authorization of Ming Ho Publications. Depicting Xie Xun standing firm in a storm, gripping the Dragon Saber as a golden lion roars behind him, the sculpture embodies resilience and inner conflict. Ren Zhe strips away surface likeness to reveal the character’s fierce duality—blind yet sharp, torn between the good and evil. Set within MGM’s Spectacle, a Guinness World Record-holding space, the piece is paired with Asia’s largest indoor LED screen showcasing Ren Zhe’s Warrior series. Blending sculpture and digital art, the installation invites viewers to unveils a state of “Strive in the spirit of the Lion & Chivalry” in the wuxia world, resonates with the noble aspirations hidden in the depths of hearts for all.
