“There are no boundaries in art,” says Lin Guocheng, who believes uncertainty holds creative potential. Through the rhythm of his pen in sync with nature’s pulse, he explores a spiritual world beyond material form. Drawing from traditional techniques, Lin uses pen as his primary medium, allowing emotion to guide each stroke. Influenced by both Eastern and Western linework, his ink drawings reveal the interconnectedness of all living beings. By channeling breath into every line, his work creates a dynamic tension between static “form” and fluidic “Qi,” inviting viewers to reflect on harmony with nature.
