∞Harmony

Harmony is an impactful addition to Wang Kaifang’s acclaimed art series , and a brand new expression of his study on formless substances. Wang incorporated cutting-edge digital technologies in this work, such as wind power experiments and 3D printing, to capture the graceful rhythmic movement of silk flowing through air and freeze the surreal moment eternally, visualizing a touch of Zen spirituality: “The Wind blows when the heart moves”. The spatial room enclosed in Harmony manifests the harmonious coherence between heaven, earth and man. Lighting from above is designed in accordance with the mystic astrology in The Diagram of Fuxi and Nuwa from the Tang Dynasty (618-907 A.D.), illustrating the worship of celestial wisdom in the ancient East. The wall and the ground are a merger of polished natural rock, in reverence to Mother Nature.
