Oktoberfest Macau at MGM 2026 Kicks Off Today

Bavarian Traditions Meet Live Music and DJ Sets in a Cross-Cultural Celebration

[October 28, 2026, Macau] Oktoberfest Macau at MGM 2026, one of Macau’s most iconic annual beer festivals, officially opened today (October 28) at MGM COTAI! Running through November 8, the festival transforms the 1/F Roof Terrace of MGM COTAI into a lively Bavarian-inspired venue, where local residents and visitors can gather beneath a giant beer tent to enjoy a selection of authentic German beer, traditional cuisine, and live entertainment. This year’s celebration also introduces “Cantopop DJ Nights”, offering guests a new way to enjoy the Oktoberfest experience.

Over the years, Oktoberfest Macau at MGM has welcomed more than 200,000 attendees. This year’s event once again receives strong support from the Macao Government Tourism Office, the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong, and the German Macau Business Association. Distinguished guests at the opening ceremony included Zhao Su, a representative of the Economic and Financial Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR; Oliver Bräuner, Deputy Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong; Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office; Tony Un, Chairman of the German Macau Business Association; and Kenneth Feng, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited. Together, they took part in a bell-ringing ceremony to mark the festival’s official opening. A lively band performance followed, with upbeat songs giving guests an early sense of the festival’s vibrant party atmosphere.

Kenneth Feng, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said, “As an integrated resort operator with entertainment and culture at the heart of our business, MGM is committed to creating distinctive experiences for local residents and visitors from around the world through a diverse range of innovative signature events. In doing so, we continue to enrich Macau’s offerings as a ‘World Centre of Tourism and Leisure’. Oktoberfest Macau at MGM has remained a favorite among residents and visitors by staying true to its traditions while introducing new experiences that give guests something to look forward to each year. Through this celebration, we hope to further showcase Macau’s openness and cultural diversity.”

Live music takes center stage at this year’s Oktoberfest. For the first time, MGM welcomes German band SAKRISCH GUAT to Macau. With more than 15 years of touring experience, the band brings an energetic mix of traditional Bavarian music, international pop hits, and Chinese-language classics, inviting guests to sing and dance along. Adding to the festivities, this year’s Oktoberfest also introduces “Cantopop DJ Nights”, featuring two exclusive performances by popular Cantopop DJ collective Cantomania on October 30 and 31. These special evenings will bring together German traditions and Cantonese pop culture through music. Both nights will also feature a “Best Halloween Costume Contest”, inviting guests to dress up and join in the Halloween festivities.

Beyond the entertainment, guests can enjoy Paulaner beer and a selection of authentic German favorites, including roasted pork knuckle, roast chicken, and pretzels. Nonalcoholic beer and specialty beverages will also be available, along with carnival games and family-friendly activities for guests of all ages.

Oktoberfest Macau at MGM 2026 runs through November 8, daily from 6 p.m. to midnight at the 1/F Roof Terrace of MGM COTAI. Tickets and table reservations are now available, with dedicated Oktoberfest service counters at MGM MACAU and MGM COTAI. Macau residents and members of the MGM membership program can also enjoy limited-time ticket offers.
