Supreme Harmony in the Year 2023 - Lunar New Year Stamps with Zodiac-related Artefacts

To celebrate the Year of the Rabbit (year of Gui Mao), the Palace Museum launched “Supreme Harmony in the Year 2023 - Lunar New Year Stamps with Zodiac-related Artefacts”, themed on the lunar New Year and its zodiac animal. MGM is glad to be its exclusive partner in Macau China, and presenting the international version of it for retail on limited quantity at ’M Art, wishing all the Macau residents and tourists a Happy New Year in the Year of Rabbit.

The Lunar New Year Stamps comes from the Palace Museum collection. Rabbit is a guardian in the Chinese folk culture, for auspiciousness and health. Rabbit-themed cultural relics collected in The Palace Museum, from the Zhou Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, like bronze, calligraphy, painting and jade rabbit, are featured. “Taihe”, the name of the grandest structure in the Forbidden City, meaning “Supreme Harmony”, represents peace and concord across the country for thousands of years. Moreover, the lotus entangles repeatedly, surrounded by red and gold color auspicious clouds, symbolizes continuity and longevity, and best wishes for a new year. The stamps named “Gui Mao Tai He” is therefore blessings and celebration in the Year of Rabbit. Its rich cultural content with auspicious connotations brings best wishes for a splendid new year as both collection and gifts.
